Cyprus offers a NEW class, Music Technology to students from 2nd grade and up, with no music background necessary. This is a class that teaches students to use piano keyboards in conjunction with computers to compose music with several different instruments. At the beginning level, it also teaches the fundamentals of music to get students started with composing! This class is taught at several different levels, challenging all students, including accomplished musicians!

We are very proud to introduce Cyprus School of Music and the Arts. Our aim is to provide a rich and excellent learning environment after school hours to Cyprus students and to the local community, extending the Cyprus philosophy of talent development and the teaching of important foundational skills in the arts into the afternoon and evening hours, and to the larger community. We have chosen the finest instructors to ensure the highest quality and offer the best programs available in our area.

Cyprus School of Music and the Arts will be located in our new expansion area and be open after school hours. In our school, we will offer instrument lessons, drama, art, foreign languages, science, and martial arts to our students and to the public.

Instrument lessons will now be handled by Cyprus School of Music and the Arts in affiliation and partnership with world-class, internationally acclaimed pianist, Alex Mezeritski, and also retaining Aubrey Weger and Dmitriy Gula as teachers. I met Alex Mezeritski a year ago, in search of a piano teacher for my highly motivated 5 year old who showed an unusual affinity to the piano. He has developed her abilities in ways I couldn't even imagine. He teaches students to the highest level and has developed many amazing and talented musicians over the years. He continues to perform, and his original compositions have been played all over the world.

We are also very excited to merge with Youngman's American Martial Arts, owned by Master Dave Youngman. I have known Master Youngman for over 10 years as a martial arts instructor for our teenage children. 10 years ago, I searched for the perfect karate instructor for my then 6 and 4 year olds. I went to at least 10 different studios, and when I met Master Youngman, there was no question that he was exactly what I was looking for. Over the years, he has proved to be exactly that: the perfect karate instructor who shares Cyprus' philosophy of courtesy, responsibility, respect, discipline, integrity, honesty and perseverance. We are very pleased to be affiliated with his school and be home to his studio during after school hours.

Cyprus School of Music and the Arts will be offering Art classes, Drama classes, instrument lessons and karate among other classes. Instrument lessons are available now. American Martial Arts will open on August 1st , and we will offer Art, Music, and Drama classes in the fall. We will keep you updated on our class offerings as we proceed.
